If I trade a shoe, do I get a full pair? ›
Not instantly. The win is for your next pair: swapping a worn shoe for a better one helps your next pair last way longer. You save cash, and fewer pefectly fine shoes get tossed.
Does it cost anything to post a listing? ›
Nope — posting and browsing listings is 100% free. No ads, no bullshit. This will always stay that way — it’s my gift to the skateboard community.
Can I sell my shoe instead of swapping? ›
Totally. FlipYourKick is just a platform to get your shoe seen. If you want to swap, cool. If you want to sell it, that’s fine too. You decide how to use it.
What about shipping or meet-ups? ›
That’s up to you and the other skater. You can meet locally or ship — just confirm the details in messages before you commit.
What happens if I can’t find a match? ›
Keep your listing up — new shoes get posted all the time. You can also widen your search (nearby postcodes/cities or buy/sell instead of swap) and your chances go way up.
Do I need an account to contact sellers or post? ›
Yes — log in to post a listing or contact a seller. It’s quick, and you’ll be sent back to the page you were on when you’re done.

I built this site alone because I’ve had the idea for years. Every time I threw away a perfectly good shoe just because the other one was destroyed from skating, it felt like such a waste.

Most skaters kill one shoe way faster than the other. Goofy skaters shred their right shoe, regular skaters destroy their left. Unless you’re a total switch master, you almost always end up with one destroyed shoe and one basically unused.

FlipYourKick is my way to test something simple: swap or sell single skate shoes, cut waste, and double the life of the next pair. The site is 100% free and will always stay free — no ads, no bullshit. This is my gift to the skateboarding community.
